The 6th winner of the St Leger, held on Wednesday 26th September 1781 over the 2 miles of Town Moor, was Serina, a bay filly by Goldfinder out of a dam by Squirrel, owned by Colonel William Radcliffe. A field of 9 runners contested the race, although there were 13 subscriptions of 25 guineas each, which was worth 325 Guineas. (Equivalent to £56,200 in 2017)
